In one of the sport's more quaint traditions, a jock coming back from a pretty serious injury, (in this case Calvin Borel), wins on his first mount back. Tim Ice gets Oaklawn meet's inadvertant first win.

3 Jersey Shore Girl (C. Borel) $6.80-$3.60-$2.40

Would you consider the Smarty Jones a Derby Prep?

The fog was so thick that those four jockeys figured they needed to stick together early or else they might get lost.

Not based on this particular running... But it is the start to the Arky Derby season. 78 Beyer for Caleb's Posse.
