He isn't at SA right now? You'd better call him and tell him there is a Gomez impostor riding at SA right now. What about Fall hollywood? Another impostor I guess. Please obtain a clue. |

He's a talented rider. But watching him and Ramon ride, it's obvious that Ramon is a more skilled jock. As far as a person? You do know Go Go's past correct? If not look it up. He has a wonderful history. |

He's riding Santa Anita, but the other meets he did not, he came to Hollywood the closing week in the fall, that constitutes riding the meet? He rode primarily at Churchill in the fall than missed several week with a shoulder fracture, so no he hardly rode at Hollywood. |

You know how many titles Angel Cordero won with a little help from his friends? In YOUR opinin Dominguez is more skilled, certainly not mine, and as for his past, well if every person that did drugs is a horrible person , well let me say their are a hell of a lot of crummy people in this world, I can tell you several wonderful things Garrett has done with his success, like keeping a nice little group of retired racers in a nice life, but he doesn't need to prove his charachter to anyone, it's irrelevant to the conversation, you think Ramon is better than fine, I don't. |

![]() I don't have a problem with it; this is how he makes the majority of his wages. It was either gomez or someone else to take the mount. Either way, for me, that is not a reason to dislike someone.
yes, i am well aware; however, everyone should have a chance at redemption. addiction is a disease...he has paid his dues (rehab, counseling, incarceration, lost wages, etc.) and seems to be living right. it's unfair for us to judge these guy when we really do not know them, that is my point. I do not think it is obvious that Ramon is more skilled or less skilled; however, i do respect ramon's reasons for staying in NY and should have no reflection on his skill level, nor should the "weak" so cal jockey colony (one that includes bejarano, rosario, talamo, flores, pval, smith, etc) reflect on gomez. there are about 5-8 top jocks whom you can not separate, in my opinion. |

![]() Nothing like a bunch of special Olympians getting together and debating who the best jock in the country is.
![]() Gomez isn't even the top jock in Cali any longer. In fact, he's not even the 2nd best jock out there. This rein twirling idiot has blown more rides, gotten more good horses beaten, than just about any big name jock not named CRUGET, that is, in over 35 years of watching races. As for Dominguez: I thought a hell of a lot more of him going into 2010 than I did at the end of it. Some of his rides on GP this year were as bad as those of Gomez in years past. And, he's 2nd only to the PITIFUL Lezcano in not being able to keep his horses on the correct lead (or control repeated lead changes) through the lane. Of course, his SETUP IQ is through the roof when it comes to his competition and he's the perfect example of how someone who is not nearly as strong as some of the other top jocks can, nonetheless, outride them. |
