Dialed In To Tampa?

The Tampa Bay Derby might as well be an ALW race - and Palm Meadows is what - like 3.5 hours to Tampa and 1 hour to Gulfstream.
It boils down to facing Uncle Mo for no graded money in a one-turn mile - or facing Brethern for a lot of Graded money in a two-turn 8.5f race... but yeah, you do have to spend an extra 2.5 hours on a van for the latter. |

You know those van rides. Just too much too soon for a whole 3rd start.

Now they are saying he'll run an OC at Gulfstream Sunday. This guy needs racing after looking really green.

Nope Gulfstream made him a race on Sunday. Against Reprized Halo and William's Kitten

Cleverly played - all you needed to do was publicly threaten to run at Tampa - and Gulfstream let an alw race go that will probably scratch down to a 3-horse field by post time.

It is a race for 3 yr olds and up that has 5 horses. Always nice to see tracks just throwing out $51,500,even tho LaPenta prolly just gave them a "donation"

Made-up stakes races, March allowance races for major Derby contenders and idiots talking about running a horse 7fs then going to the Derby. We all need to find a new sport.

Here's a preview:
#1 Reprized Halo: 10th by 26.75 lengths at 99/1 odds in the Sam Davis last time out. Was 3rd in a starter alw race for 2-year-olds at Calder the start before that. #2 William's Kitten: Making his 2nd start off a year layoff - he was 7th by 13 lengths at this class level last time out. #3 The other Zito horse. He could give Dialed In a race - but would logically be scratched. #4 Dialed In #5 Valerius He was 2nd at 6/1 in a 30K claimer non-2 life two starts back. Won a slow N1X alw race at Tampa with a 78 Beyer last time out. There's no pace at all on paper - obviously Reprized Halo will be as loose as he wants to be in against all deep closers. |

That was perfectly stated....It's like nobody wants to run their horses. Real fu<king shame.

I guess there sole purpose is to screw Tampa Bay Downs. That's a crappy way to run a business. I hope they get a monsoon and they have to scratch or cancel the card. |

and these methods are really paying off....lets look at the last two winners...mine that bird and super saver....yeah, they were real good horses.......lol....... for all the hype and months of mouth running the race is a crap shoot now....these horses are not prepared and out of 20 about 10 belong....oh yeah, but without "bumper car fields" we won't get these fabulous results...but people still act like the best horse will win.....pick your favorite number and make sure its not on the inside too much.

And - it also ensures the Timely Writer race on March 12th will be another horrid stinker of a betting race. Basically - they just kneeled down to the connections of Uncle Mo and Dialed in - and allowed two truly crappy betting races on Saturday cards - severly unsportsmanlike prep races ... just to stick it to the Tampa Bay Derby. |

That is nothing compared to getting over the Rockies.
