Wow. I'm surprised, because of previous rulings the FSC has made in state vs legislature there. Very interesting! That will definitely have some ramifications on other things in the future.

Edit: okay, courts reasoning is different that what I thought, due to new information about the appropriations. They simply upheld his normal right to veto appropriations made during his tenure, as he is constitutionally allowed.

During oral arguments at the Florida Supreme Court on Thursday, justices seized on the fact that the Legislature had not appropriated the entire $2.4 billion.

That means that lawmakers would need to vote to spend the remaining money, which would require the governor's approval.

Scott's attorney, Charles Trippe, said the governor would veto any further appropriations.
