Though, to me, it sounds like the damage control team has already set off to work. Let's say he was hurt (though it seems it happened only as the others finally went after him and pushed him a tad), retire him now to stud with the fairy tale that he could've been the next Secretariat.

He just never proved that he made the transition from 2 yo to 3 yo-that simple.

And sure, no doubt there will be an x-ray, and something will damn well have to be found
