![]() don't know what the record for a daily double is.. but today's from the 5th gotta be close.
I've seen bigger pick 4's for sure, but that's a huge double and don't remember a pick 3 not being hit for a real long time either. $2 Daily Double 9-11 15,714.60 $1 Pick 3 5-9-ALL (3 correct) 171.00 $1 Pick 3 5-ALL-11 (3 correct) 171.00 $1 Pick 3 ALL-9-11 (3 correct) 171.00 $1 Pick 4 8-5-9-11 (4 correct) 39,763.60 |

![]() You could have found a reason to bet the 11 horse..Lasala's only mount, etc but the 9 was just out of no where.

![]() Now days some of these "record payouts" need to be examined more closely. The double pool was $9,884 and there must have been one winning $1 ticket that took the whole pool and paid $7,857.30.

![]() And the crazy double from the 4th and 5th was followed up by a Catalano winner.....who paid $38.60 (he won by 4+ lengths
![]() It sure was an unusual day at AP....other than the fact that I didn't pick any winners. That part was the same. |

![]() There was one point, I believe in the race that Cat won ,where the Pick-3 was going to pay 1/3 if the #1 horse had won.
Yikes. |

![]() I've noticed that he seems to have less starters than normal and while he hasn't been winning as much as he usually does, he's still winning at a 20% clip. By his lofty standards that isn't great, but its obviously pretty good by the standards of a normal trainer.

![]() Do you know the reason for this? I haven't heard/read anything.
And....in a related matter....why don't he and Calabrese just realize that they were made for each other, let bygones be bygones, and get back together? |
