Default God is in Erie tonight

Syringe for Syringe -- no man can test the great juicer Scooter "the shooter" Davis.

He brings his 32-for-108 training record on the year into the 8th race at Presque Isle Downs tonight.

After only about 40 or so bad tests ... it would appear as though his training license is still suspended in West Virgina.

Scooter has only started a single horse since April 15th.

He ran Lime Lover on 7/29 at PID and won. Sadly he was given 15 days and fined 1K on August 3rd at Presque Isle for ....

Quote:
purposely sought administration of furosemide outside acceptable time.
In 2010: Scooter got his first bad test at Penn National -- with the very first horse he ever ran there!

This year: Scooter has already completed a triple crown sweep .. he got days at Presque Isle -- he got 60 days at MNR -- and he got 25 days at Charles Town .. and this after W Va stewards claimed he was on his "last chance" coming into this year.

The stats?:

Past five years he's 23-for-51 (45% wins) with a blockbuster $3.18 ROI first time off the claim.

Regarding trainer switches not involving claims -- he's 25-for-73 (34% wins) with an other-worldly $4.23 ROI over the last two years.

There are a lot of talented hop artists ... but there is only ONE Scooter "the shooter" Davis. This man has even got bad tests for family members AND girlfriends who were filling in for him while he was on suspension.

One of the all-time GREATEST juice jobs ever .....

A horse coming from a 20% trainer -- who has never run faster than a 59 Beyer in 10 starts ... wins by 15.5 lengths at 6/1 odds going just 5 furlongs for Scooter and pops a 97 Beyer.

If you bet it -- you got paid ... but it didn't pass the drug test and its career was short lived.

Deadly Dealer ran a 23 Beyer when he claimed him for 5K ... he got Deadly Dealer going better than Pletcher ever did before the roof caved in.

A few more:

Another 5k claim he turned into a stakes winner before it went snap, crackle, pop.

He is the killer --- I just wish Formulator went back more than five years.

I claimed a horse off of him in 2001 -- biggest mistake ever. I sold it back to him ASAP.

No. DD was a decent claim.

The horse I claimed off of him -- he ran back once and labored badly for no reason.

So I sought out Scooter -- transferred the horse back to him -- the horse ran a pretty decent 2nd or 3rd in his first start back with Scooter. So, I took the purse money, and when he sent the training bill and vet bill I basically said "see ya, sucker -- he's all yours" ... I think I told him I lost my entire bankroll betting Saratoga or something.. and he said - in that case he was fine with getting ownership back for the price of one training and vet bill.

Here's a thread I found about Scooter from a different board ....

Good to see that dopey MTR Trainer/Old PA Poster Ralphie The Cat is still alive and kicking.

All the horses in W VA running under the names of superstars Jamie Stokes and Billy Ray Davis are in fact Scooter productions.

Good to see his suspension hasn't slowed him down much.
