![]() Yeah. Was asked last week to play golf today, so I took a personal day off so that I could and then the c*cksuckers change their minds and are playing tomorrow. Just hanging out until 1:30 til I go get Amelia.

![]() David Ortiz with easily the worst mound charge this side of Robin Ventura I've ever seen.

Really, who the F*ck is Kevin Gregg and who gives a s.hit what he thinks? He's a nobody. As far as Papi goes, pitchers are allowed to pitch inside. Deal with it and stop being such a bitch.

![]() For two roidheads, Gregg and Ortiz couldn't make contact to save their lives. Seriously, those two looked like they wanted to hug each other more than throw punches. WHere's Robert Fick when you need him?

But what the hell is the story with Joe Mauer? I know he has had some leg issues, he has 2 hr's and is getting 23 million a year until 2018? It can't all be the stadium, right?

![]() If I were a team who had that kind of dough, I would.
Tigers have something like $25 million coming off the payroll this year. Should be players in various free agents.

•Chris Archer, RHP, Rays (Triple-A Durham): 7 IP, 8 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. A disappointment for most of the year but finishing with a flurry; one run allowed in two Triple-A starts. 9/2 Chris Archer, RHP, Rays (Double-A Montgomery): 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 4 K. Control continues to be the only issue, as the stuff to be a good big league starter is there. 8/17 top 50 minor league prospects ranking as of 8/6 19. Hak-Ju Lee, SS, Rays (Preseason: NR) Has exploded with the Rays by hitting for average, drawing walks, stealing bases, and playing a solid shortstop with an outstanding arm. Shortstops that can hit at the top of the order are worth their weight in gold. Acquired in the Matt Garza trade, Chirinos is the third piece of the return to reach the majors for the Rays this season, joining Sam Fuld and Brandon Guyer. At first blush, Chirinos’ .265/.341/.378 line appears mediocre, but if you break it down month-by-month he looks better: April: .176/.253/.191 May: .333/.380/.424 June: .256/.344/.385 July: .324/.419/.622 Brandon Guyer, OF, Rays (Triple-A Durham): 4-for-4, 2 2B, 4 R, R, BB, SB. Has been slumping of late, but still hitting .316/.390/.513 overall in 76 games. So far looking great for the Rays |
