I hate this. No visible signs of something wrong. No lameness, no bleeding, no displaced pallet, nothing they can find. As anyone knows, if you run a nuclear scan on any horse in training, things are going to show up. Why can't it just be that she ran her first really bad race because......because it happens sometimes? No reason she couldn't bounce back.

Read it wrong. Says she did displace which makes this even worse because that provides a possible excuse and one that is easily fixable.

It was Halo Dolly that displaced.

Halo Dolly took a five-race winning streak into her first graded stakes appearance in the Grade 2, $750,000 Cotillion Stakes at the suburban Philadelphia track and looked to be in good position after a half-mile, but she collapsed to finish 32 1/2 lengths behind runaway winner Plum Pretty.

"She displaced her soft palate," Hollendorfer said, referring to a condition that affects a horse's breathing.

Clearly you are a guy that believes everything you read. Obviously there is something amiss with Blind Luck as she had missed intended starts in August, which she never does. Then a bad effort yesterday and it is obvious that she is going in the wrong direction. Running in the BC would be a very curious decision and it looks like Hollendorfer is doing what is right for his horse. But you think running in the BC with a a la Life at Ten performance would better serve Blind Luck herself, her connections, her fans and the betting public?
