They're going about it the wrong way. Legalize the drugs, but make it illegal to dilute the drugs. Make a "drug purity law". You can sell only "100% pure" white powders.

The resulting overdoses will diminish the drug using population faster and more completely than any enforcement action can. A little Darwinism goes a long way.

This gets it right: the president's position on "created or saved" jobs is embarassing:

Looks like the "saved or created" metric is being retired in favor of "supported".

Predictable. Now one word conveys even more unmeasurable "data" than before. But hey, if whomever is still left in the Obama supporter crowd is dumb enough to buy it, then it's a success.

Politics 101, Change the wording to obfuscate or give plausible deniability and give yourself an out when proven wrong.

Of the nine studies I’ve found, six find that the stimulus had a significant, positive effect on employment and growth, and three find that the effect was either quite small or impossible to detect.
I challenge you to actually read the article and understand it.

its really really sad if three studies can research and say that the stimulus had a very minimal effect on the economy when you consider how much the bill cost. It was a HUGE waste of money and probably Obama's biggest failure.

It's really good when six studies say it created thousands of jobs, and saved us from the depression, had a significant and postive effect on economic growth, and it worked.

Obama's biggest success, other than being the first President of either party (and yes, Republicans used to be in favor of health care reform) to be able to pass any health care reform

yep, it worked just like it was supposed to right? Like "this bill has to be passed or unemployment will go higher than 8%"

It was an epic failure, and will prove to cause more damage than good when we actually pay back the bill.

That quote is from one report before the bailout, one written by economist Christina Romer, and yeah, it turned out the economic mess was far worse than any economist predicted.

But no, the majority of economics studies clearly say, especially as we now have hindsight to actually measure impact and financial effects, that the stimulus provided jobs and helped keep the economy out of depression. You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but there is clearly a preponderance of objective evidence that shouldn't be ignored in forming it.
