$2 payout is just the way it's reported. The dime increment would be $27,194, and super pool was $73,611, so there were 2 winners at the .10 level after the takeout.

The payouts for a simliar $75 horse in race 7 were not quite as generous. And why in the world were there 50 people in the winner's circle for that no-chance long shot?

Saw that.. Can't recall the last time I saw back to back $75 winners. $2k DD. That favored (.80) runner-up depressed the second Super. There were 2 long prices 3rd and 4th!

Ten Most Wanted progeny have won 1 time 1st turf in 34 tries (now 2 for 35, obviously). Debra Divitto had never won a turf race (albeit in only 15 tries). Abel Lezcano wins a whopping 2% on the turf in 139 attempts.

I'm sorry, but there was no reason 50+ people should have expected to get their pictures taken today.

And that trifecta came back very light.

I think you mean Amy tarrant, although before today she was 1 for 17 in NY with an ROI of .35 before that no shot winner of the 6th.

What's turf about the breeding of the 7th winner? The only possible thing I could say is they tried to get her on the grass the first two times (when beaten a combined 40 lengths), but I'm not seeing the grass breeding there.

There is only one foal in the first two families on the dam side that even tried the turf....and that horse was actually OK on the grass.

Look at it this way, somebody was going to beat Notell.
