Baffert is

King of the 3 yr old B Derbies!!

Last Year he had Concord Point and this year its Prayer for Relief. Instead of running them in hard races(Travers,Haskell,BC) he runs them in expensive easy races.

I would have loved to see PFR in the Classic or Dirt Mile, maybe next year unless he is retired to stud like Concord Point

Even though I would like to see the best horses square off against each other, smart move placing them in spots where they can make as much money as possible.
Or,maybe Baffert doesn't think PFR is good enough to go against the better horses.

Did anyone catch why Populist Politics scr'd from the Indiana Derby?

What Prayer For Relief got away with in the Super Derby was insane. Awesome Bet and Populist Politics ran huge in defeat.

Was pleased to have Bernie Rhone on show Tuesday to showcase his success with Tourmaline in the Oaks. On closer inspection, she really wasn't as impossible as she felt Sunday.
