Alex Smith

Is he a real NFL quarterback now? Does this ever happen like this? The guy looks like a total bust, now this? If he the 49ers franchise QB now for the next 10 years, hes still young enough. These guys that look like busts never turn into this. How many of them just recently? Jamarcus Russell, Joey Harrington, Matt Leinart..... I know Im forgetting a few busts. Does the guy go from almost being out of the NFL to now a top 10 kinda guy?
Does this thread mush him in the second half today? He is 12/17 for 150 in the first half.... Lets see.

I'm not sold on Alex Smith. He is a product of good D and Running game ala Trent Dilfer. Rich Gannon is QB that played pretty well late in his career.

I get what your saying, but he was the #1 overall pick at 1 point. I remember him at Utah under Urban Meyer being a duel threat kinda guy. The talent is there somewhere.
