i expected this news, and am in agreement with the gm going as well. that was the guy who advocated getting rid of shottenheimer, who he knocked heads with. that has got to be one of the single dumbest moves ever. you fire a coach because you can do better; norv was better?!?! lol hell no! there's been a steady decline since that boneheaded decision was made. norv-good coordinator, bad head coach.

![]() Not shocked either, the timing is a bit strange in terms of announcing it will be done at seasons end, as opposed to now. The team has won division titles and been decent at time, so perhaps Norv at least deserved the end of the season before making this known. I totally agree Norv's a better O coach then head coach. A. J. is a total joke, he probably should have been gone years ago, the Marty firing was insane at the time after a 14-2 season, it was nuts! That team has talent, when it can stay healthy which i am not totally convinced Rivers is by the way. You got WR'S missing time which is not good in terms of Rivers getting a rapport with them. Gates is a weapon when healthy. The defense needs improving. But not all together a bad job for a new coach to be interested in, do they go hot young assistant like Mike Zimmer, of Jay Gruden perhaps? Or do they go veteran coach like Fisher (should he not end up in J-ville), or try to lure from the tv booth or studio. It will be an interesting hire in my opinion, cuz you get the right guy there that team can turn things around fairly quickly in my opinion.

![]() I'm amazed he kept the job this long. Same with Smith. The most overrated team in the NFL every year.
