Amazing how your read what's not there. He never mentioned conspiracy, much less refer to it as massive.

It was a simple question whether TSA workers can over ride the metal detectors or whether they're purposely set up to give false positives initiating random pat downs.

You do realize that unlike some of your favorite mid-east countries the U.S. has laws pertaining to probable cause, search and seizure and a bunch of other mumbo jumbo to ensure an individual rights?

He said he suspects the equipment is rigged to set off false positives that then allow the TSA to conduct random pat downs without having to pull a passenger aside.

yeah, what a crazy conspiracy. I mean the guy goes through one scanner and it goes off. Then he goes through another scanner, without changing anything, and it doesnt go off. You'd have to be really crazy to think that is strange and possibly set up.


in reality, you'd have to be crazy to not think something is "strange" regarding one scanner going off, and another one not.

So, you're telling me that I should be able to walk through two scanners, and one should go off and the other scanner should just let me walk through with no problem?

If that's how scanners work, then the TSA wasted a **** ton of money installing broken machines.

I guess you don't fly, or ever enter a courthouse? You've never heard of someone walking through a scanner, having it go off, then walking back through again and not having it alarm? Or having it alarm to nothing visible? Or titanium in an implant? Or a hearing aid? Or change in a pocket? Which is why they have patdowns?

I've only flown about 350 times. Have you used the new machines? when they go off, it pinpoints an area where there is metal. On, me, its usually a piercing that sets it off. So they use a wand over my piercing and send me on my merry way. Thankfully, they dont check too much, because a few months ago i landed at my destination and realized there was half of a blunt in my purse. god i hate purses.
