Rick Perry's Anti-woman Ultrasound Bill & Doonesbury
While nobody was paying attention last March, Gov. Rick Perry proudly signed into Texas law a forced transvaginal ultrasound bill. Yeah, just like the one everybody just got upset over, for fear Virginia Gov. McDonnell would sign it! But Rick Perry actually did it. Last March.
Because, you know, according to Rick Perry, women and their doctors can't make a healthcare decision without old white men forcing them to undergo needless medical procedures via Big Government mandated procedures. It's 2012. The most important thing for Republican Governors is to take away women's freedom and rights. This is the subject of Doonsbury this week.

Sunday's final Doonesbury in this series:
Because according to the Republican Party, forcing a woman to pay for healthcare neither she nor her doctor wants, is okay and not a government takeover or intrusion and is totally different from the horror of ObamaCares enabling everyone to afford to have health insurance. The Republican Creed: Government forced unwanted invasive healthcare procedures - and also forcing to woman to pay for it - okay. Government mandate for health insurance for all is not. Oh, "Big Government Takeover of Private Lives and healthcare". Which party does it best? Yeah. Right.
