Default First time overnight at Saratoga(?)

I live in southern Vermont, so the ride to Saratoga isn't bad at all (it is a race car driver's dream, a winding series of roads from Vermont into New York state.)

I was wondering if anyone here had thoughts on a good (value) place to stay on a relatively quiet weekend. Value could mean anything, as I'd just like to stay one night but watch two days worth of racing. It's a male buddy horse racing fan of mine, so I don't need romantic restaurants.

I'm been out there every summer for the last 10 years, anywhere close to the track you are going to pay a small fortune really no matter the weekend. About 20 minutes from Saratoga is the Glens Falls area...there is a Quality Inn that is relatively new that is ok, with alot of dining in the area...
