![]() i read an opinion that ny need only have done as churchill does for the derby-assign security to the runners themselves. that way, trainers don't have two areas to worry about, they don't have personnel and horses in two different places, etc. made sense to me. especially considering that they had them move so far ahead of the race. i didn't think about all the logistics when it was originally presented.
i also read that some are saying IHA shouldn't be allowed to run because he was 3 mins late moving. gimme a break.

![]() They weren't going to let Matz & O'Neill cook oats for their horses today until some inquiries were made to a higher authority and an OK was garnered...

These people now "in charge" do realize that we actually hammer metal plates onto horses hooves with nails, right? And that's not some illegal "soring"?

![]() I thought Lukas had a great point as well --

![]() Just heard John Sabini being interviewed on Mark Cusano's Down The Stretch show on Capital OTB network. I considered myself fairly well-educated and usually refrain from hasty, mean-spirited comments. However, this man is an I-D-I-O-T.
Then, I looked up his bio. Of course, his background is that he is politician! Is Gov. Cuomo attempting to destroy horse racing so that State of New York can move all casino monies to general fund? Sabini appears to be an excellent first step if this is plan.

![]() Yes and Sabini is the likely prototype leader for the vaunted Federal oversight committee that so many in this business seemingly crave for.
