Default Street Life

I was impressed by the late charge Street Life made in the Belmont. He appeared to be making good gains in the last 1/4 mile.

I wonder if asking him earlier would have helped - not to Sunday morning jockey this after the fact, but you know what I mean.

He makes good gains in the stretch in all of his races, he's a closer. I don't think when he makes his move is the problem, it's the competition. He just isn't as good as these right now.

I think he actually lost ground on the first two finishers in the last 1/4.

Hard to believe with that ultra super sonic last 1/4 following the ultra super sonic early splits.

More of a plodder really. He just takes down the quitters while never catching horses that do any real running.

Yeah, I was oversimplifying it. I just thought it was nicer than saying he stinks.

OK - going to have to review that race on the TiVo. Maybe he didn't do that good after all.
