![]() Great news for those that don't believe in ALEC-legislative goal for the Republicans of disenfranchising hundreds of thousands of legal voters just so Republicans have a better chance of winning an election**
It should be noted that the State of Wisconsin has one of the strongest pro-voting laws among all the states. ** Pennsylvania state House Republican leader Mike Turzai said this weekend that the state’s new voter ID law will “allow” Mitt Romney to win the state in November, according to a report. Quote: “Pro-Second Amendment? The Castle Doctrine, it’s done. First pro-life legislation – abortion facility regulations – in 22 years, done. Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done,” Turzai said at Saturday’s Republican State Committee meeting, according to PoliticsPA.com. ![]() Uhh - the required showing of official ID is not disenfranchisement.
It does however prevent those who would otherwise vote more than once in a particular election from doing so. So if a previously fraudulent voter could not vote the 4 times he intended to, and instead was limited to 1 vote like the rest of us, I guess you could say he has a disenfranchisement factor of 75%. Is that what you are referring to? Would the Secret Service allow this same voter to be at a campaign rally for the president or vice president without ID, or allow the individual to remain after being asked for, and not producing the ID? The fact that the Democratic Party has once again decided to take the position for lawlessness, as they have with the non-enforcement of border security, and in favor of "sanctuary cities" and the like, is proof that they are stupid, devious, or both. |
