![]() I think it's still considered redboarding if you lost, but I've missed you guys recently and I am in need of internet abuse.
Played the late Pick 4 at Saratoga today. Hit 3 of 4. The ticket: Zagora (and two others) WITH Contested and Gypsy Robin (who was 2nd by 2 at 15-1) WITH Three losers, including Fort Loudon (2nd by 1/2 at 14-1) WITH Alpha, Atigun, and Fast Falcon (3rd by a neck at 32-1) Lots of "ifs" here, but if Contested gets a slightly worse trip or break than she got, and if Dutrow doesn't run that winner back on three days rest, and if Fast Falcon changes leads a little earlier (did he change leads at all?), those 3 combined lenghts disappear and I think I probably collect $50k or more, don't I? Frustrating, but at the same time a nice reminder why there is no better bet than horse racing. It's tough to get that close to $50k with a bet that small. |

![]() Not a 50k redboard, but....
I got smashed all day other then hitting race 2 and Optimizer, for not much. I took a stand in pick 4 with just 4,5. Thinking I would play the pick 3 back. Because I was strongly against the 2 chalks in the Bishop. My pick 3's... $8 8/2,4,7,8/6,8 $3 3,8/2,4,7,8/6,8 $2 3,8,10/2,4,7,8/6,8,10 As you can see, even with Contested winning I was lined up to score out if I dont run 2-3 at big prices in the Bishop. Im not sure but a friend said the pick 3 to Alpha was around $280 for $2 with Bemin. I would guess they would have been similar to the 8 and a bit more to the 4. 6.5x |
