One of my best scores came at Calder a couple years ago. 2nd time starter. Taking a small drop (mdn 25 to mdn16 maybe? ) debut running line looked awful. Added blinks and got a bug up.

So, he got the bug, the blinks and the drop all in one.

im always interested in 2nd time turf with a decent run 1st time on T with good breeding and decent trainer stats

and i dont know how significant it is but the ultimate equipment switch, 1st time gelding. dont know why but ive cashed a few tickets here and there with that one but you have to pay attentiong usually to the pa system right before the race.

That is conditional.

For example, if he publicly states a horse has no shot to win a given race, that's an angle that is golden.

However, if you are talking about betting a horse coming off of a PG1985 talking up of, well, I've seen too many that never recovered from having such a heavy burden.

I use this for the California racing and for 3yr olds and up races only. 2yr olds and 3yr olds only races don't apply. I toss horses stretching out and running on the the turf for the first time.

I like betting a horse entered at same class level after running "evenly" in previous race

Also, 2nd time blinkers when entered back in similar race off a loss

A good percentage of my best cashes the past 5 years have came with lightly raced 2-3yo's with turf breeding making their turf debut.
The angle sounds obvious enough but, you always get value with horses that have shown nothing in their first start or two. They usually have 1-3 starts on dirt when they show a flash or sometimes nothing at all. I especially follow Pletcher, Mott, Maker, and McLaughlin with these types.

Interactif (16:1) and King Congie (43:1) are 2 of my best cashes that come to mind.
I also hit the Mott last winter at Gulfstream that was out of Film Maker at 18:1 getting turf in his 2nd start.
