Tommorrow at CD Race 7
is anyone playing Churchill tomm? if so, is there anyway that Gift Receipt has a chance in the 7th? i know every horse had a chance but i stable mailed this horse after her run at Keen when she flew to the frt got on the rail and failed to go on as it seemed to me that a lot of horses did at Keen. so i figured maybe her trainer did that as a tightener for the grass??? any infor is appreciated. thanks.

Ill be playing Churchill tomorrow if I can catch the 3,4,5 in the upcoming 7th at Belmont. Gotta beat Javier.
As for your question, tons tons of speed. If the race isnt scratched down Im taking a shot with 7,9. I dont love turf cutbacks, but I think the 9 is really live. |

I definitely wouldn't toss her. 6.5f to 5f is a significant cutback for a horse with her speed. I don't agree with your suggestion about rail horses stopping on the lead at KEE though. Just look at the 1 in the same race.

well i see gift receipt came in 2nd at 14-1 and was in front by 3 at the top of the stretch. I dont have access to anything in pp's but the 1 in the same race did she go wire to wire at keenland in a sprint? was she on the rail as well? I just noticed that it seemed to me that horses that went to the rail in sprints didn't seem to run on during the meet.

before i was married with a child i use to print off the race results and try to look at differetn things at diff tracksjust to see if there were any horses that did anything diff then what the prevailing trends were and i came up with some interesting runners. i barely bet much and when i do it isn't much but its still fun to find one like gift recepit today. i told my coworkers after the fact and they were mad and said let us know when she runs again and i said i doubt she will be 14-1 again. Wife and kids really put a cramp in your handicapping but i wouldn't trade em. that was a sweet exacta if you had the other horse on top good job.
