Sounds like Genting was through making contributions and donations with no action so Cuomo is finding other revenue streams for him and his friends.

I still think it was a terrible idea from the get-go.

It is all about the power, control and money.

I agree it is a horrible idea. That being said, it is being shelved for the moment not because it is a bad idea, but because Cuomo has not been able to get the money he wants to get it done until full scale gambling is approved in New York at which time the government's extortion offer for the rights to building casinos will be maximized. This is far from over.

Cuomo continues to make his move. NY Racetracks better start planning on running the tracks with reduced or no money from the Casino's, its only a matter of time before this vastly expands and the racetracks are left in the dust.

Of course, this came with extortion as Cuomo made it clear he would circumvent the intent of the voters even if his proposal was shot down. In a State that is already vastly overtaxed and broke and where there can never be enough spending by the corrupt politician's, the need to find new sources of revenue is never enough. This is just the beginning. Democracy at its best.

Matt, I will take that as a compliment. I just wished you could have stayed for a few weeks so you could have enjoyed it all.
