Default Federal Budget Talks A Week Later

Haven't heard of any progress or even that anyone is talking.

But what a week it's been on the spending side:

Over $300 billion on the day the debt ceiling was raised. Apparently bills we've been hiding? That same day a couple billion to KY to build a dam, a billion to fight fires and a few other budget minded expenses.

$1.6 Billion (quietly) to Pakistan.

Unknown figure bringing in the best and brightest to fix a quarter billion dollar computer platform that was paid for but doesn't work. (I take it Obama chose not to go with the service plan) More money to bring in call-center employees to fill the void until the computer glitches are fixed and $130,000 to the Baltimore Ravens for advertising.

Was the debt ceiling raised by a figure or did we just hand over the credit card for a set period of time.
