Imagine being one who does not detest abortion and presented a case of paying for an abortion or raising a kid not only doesn't detest but insists!

And I'm all for individual rights including gay marriage and all the benefits it may or may not entail, religious or no religion rights, meat or no meat, conservation and oil exploration, guns and gun penalties, abortion and the death penalty. One Rule: YOU PAY FOR YOUR OWN SHIAT!

I agree with you with the exception of social safety net. If we had none the cost of security, prisons for the social unrest we would face would far far outweigh the money spent on the social programs.
