Default 2/1: Aqueduct (7th-10th); Tampa Bay (8th-12th); Santa Anita (6th-9th)

AQUEDUCT

POST-SCRATCHES

7th: 35th Busher, 3yo-F, 8.5f (P4, P3, DD)

Named for Col. Bradley's war era Champion 2yo filly, (later campaigned by Louis B. Meyer), the Busher has produced G1 winners Princess of Sylmar, It's Tricky and Little Belle over the past few years..

Most Likely: #5 Ballylee 2-1 5th
Best Value: #4 Fleet of Gold 8-1 7th
Next Best: #9 Vero Amore 5-2 2nd
Exotics Use: #2 Fierce Boots 4-1 4th

8th: 75th Correction, F&M-4+, 6f (P3, DD)

Wild scrum of 12 turns up for this winter standard. Pace looks honest..

Most Likely: #7 Lion D N A 7-2 WON ($6.40)
Next Best: #9 I'm Mom's Favorite 10-1 10th
Best Value: #4 Expression 20-1 5th
Exotics Use: #3 Masasi 6-1 3rd

9th: 134th Withers (G3), 3yo, 8.5f (DD)

One of the most under-appreciated races in the sport when talking about longevity and stars given wins in it by the likes of Aristides (1875), Hanover (1887), Colin (1908), Man o'War (1920), Count Fleet (1943), Dr. Fager (1967) and more over the years. The Withers has been run at almost all the city tracks in NY with stops at Jerome Park (1874-89), Morris Park (1890-1904) Jamaica (1956) and Belmont (1984-96) before settling in at Aqueduct. While respecting Uncle Sigh and Samraat's speed and success thus far, I'm in the camp with ATR visitors Serling, Tammaro and Beer that Classic Giacnroll (5-1) is the right horse in the right place at the right price..

Most Likely: #4 Classic Giacnroll 5-1 4th
Next Best: #1 Uncle Sigh 9-5 2nd
Best Value: #3 Scotland 8-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #5 Samraat 7-5 WON ($4.30)

10th: CLM, 4+, 5.5f

There's potential for a collapse in here if the speeds and pressers all amass. Third choice Verbosity drops in for Hushion and should get an ideal trip at the front of the second flight. Toss Joe Parker's Marquet Rebel (30-1) SCR'D in to your exotics mix under the meltdown concept as he turns back from the route and adds 7# bug Jonathon Zayas who has 15 3rd's (20%) on the big price horses Jorge Velasquez has been booking for him..

Most Likely: #3 Verbosity 7-2 2nd
Next Best: #1 Starship Captain 10-1 3rd
Best Value: #6 Exley 15-1 6th
Exotics Use: #9 Superiority 8-1 4th

Total: $60.00

TAMPA BAY DOWNS

POST-SCRATCHES

8th: 34th Suncoast, 3yo-F, 1m-40y (P5, P3, DD)

Both AE's can run with Pletcher & Matz fillies going Fri. as MTO's. Plenty of outside pace signed on here and think the two inside players are what you want..

Best Value: #2 Playful Love 10-1 5th
Next Best: #1 Please Explain 7-2 WON ($5.00)
Exotics Use: #7 Light Bringer 4-1 3rd
Super Add: #9 SCR

9th: 34th Sam F. Davis (G3), 3yo, 8.5f (P4, P3, DD)

Decision to run Vinceremos here instead of Hutcheson significant, because unless Harpoon or blinkers-on Asserting Bear engage him, he'll be on a loose lead. Desormeaux flies to TAM to stick with Noble Cornerstone and Cousin Stephen deserves another chance after tiring late off layoff in the Commissioner-Top Billing race. School on a Hill (12-1) from ownership that won this last year with Falling Sky and has potential here making first dirt start. Sire Student Council, himself by Kingmambo, gets horses that are winning at 16% on main track and dam My Meggie Meg (French Deputy) was a fast dirt sprinter that won a minor stake in an injury-shortened career..

Most Likely: #2 Noble Cornerstone 7-2 7th
Next Best: #1 Harpoon 4-1 2nd
Best Value: #4 Vinceremos 6-1 WON ($26.80)
Exotics Use: #5 Cousin Stephen 3-1 3rd
Super Add: #7 School On a Hill 12-1 6th

10th: 28th Tampa Bay (G3), 4+, 8.5f-T (P3, DD)

Nothing clever to offer here other than reiteration from Friday ATR that Looking Cool (15-1) can contend with effort from November at Churchill..

Most Likely: #6 Salto 2-1 2nd
Best Value: #5 Looking Cool 15-1 7th
Next Best: #7 Golden Sabre 15-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #1 Guys Reward 6-1 WON ($31.60)

11th: MSW, 3yo, 6f (DD)

Interesting set of maidens includes Sorpresa d'Oro, Md'O firster that cost $250k new as a half to Mr. Sekiguchi. Burgundy Moon, FTS for Derek Ryan, is a half to Flash Forward and Glinda the Good..

Most Likely: #7 Stormy Pacific 5-1 WON ($17.20)
Best Value: #9 Macro Zoom 10-1 4th
Next Best: #6 Dickens 3-1 2nd
Exotics Use: #1 Cornerback Sack 9-2 7th

12th: MSW, 3yo-F, 1m-OFF THE TURF (Super Hi-5)

Most Likely: #6 Betty Grables Legs 8-1 3rd
Best Value: #2 Minnelli 10-1 7th
Next Best: #3 Step Aside Boys 5-2 4th
Exotics Use: #9 Grand Elmendorf 10-1 WON ($26.00)

SANTA ANITA PARK

POST-SCRATCHES

6th: ALW/N1X, 4+, 9f-T (P4, P3)

Odd assembly and presence of Master Cip a wild card given likelihood of him running off to an isolated lead. Remember that this turf course remains kind to unencumbered front end types as evidenced again last night when Zia Zia Zia was able to take them wire to wire in the downhill 7th. Power Ped, Scorcher, Cervaro, Brother Pete, Tortola and returning Counting Days all look like they require some degree of coverage to start the P4..

Most Likely: #6 Brother Pete 9-5 2nd
Best Value: #2 Power Ped 8-1 WON ($13.40)
Next Best: #8 Counting Days 5-1 4th
Exotics Use: #5 Scorcher 6-1 5th

7th: 32nd Las Virgenes (G1), 3yo-F, 1, (P3, DD)

Quality set..

Most Likely: #8 Streaming 2-1 2nd
Next Best: #4 Artemis 4-1 5th
Best Value: #3 Arethusa 8-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #1 Saintly Joan 15-1 6th

8th: 55th Arcadia (G2), 4+, 1m-T (DD)

Insanely well-balanced event with distance questions (Regally Ready, Unbridled's Note), layoff questions ('13 winner Suggestive Boy, Winning Prize), deportment questions (Vagabond Shoes, No Jet Lag). There is virtually no bad combination you could put together..

Most Likely: #10 No Jet Lag 5-1 6th
Best Value: #1 Procurement 12-1 7th
Next Best: #5 Regally Ready 5-1 3rd
Exotics Use: #8 Suggestive Boy 7-2 5th

9th: MCLM/$20k,

Most Likely: #7 Profire 5-2 3rd
Best Value: #4 Anzeau 6-1 12th
Next Best: #13 Dehere Is Gone 4-1 4th
Exotics Use: #8 Rob's Pal 7-2 2nd
Hi-5 Play: #11 Sofos Quick Logic 50-1 11th
