Yeah, i heard about it this morning HOF talented lyricist. So many monster hits, Up On The Roof is one of my favorites. Great partnership with Carol King, marriage didn't last but they wrote some terrific songs. RIP Gerry

"Pleasant Valley Sunday" is a great, great pop song. "He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss)," less so, but certainly memorable. A great lyricist.
