Default RIP Don Zimmer

Not much else needs to be said, especially if you were a baseball fan living in Boston, NY or Chicago. Married 63 years.

Wish he would have held on for a few more days to see the run at the triple Crown. As dedicated a Horseplayer as they come.

I did not know he was a Horseplayer, very cool. I followed the Cubbies big time in the 80's, 90's, and still although i am not as much a fan of BB as i am of the NFL. But Zimm was a mainstay, and i always looked forward to hearing from him on the pre-game shows, etc. a classy man. RIP POPEYE.

He was at the greyhound track in St Pete (Derby Lane) almost every day.

I probably saw him 40 times at Derby Lane. And three or four times at Tampa Bay Downs.

Nobody loved baseball as much as Don Zimmer. What a class guy.
