This probably happens at a ton of universities, Notre Dame chooses not to stand for it unlike most others.

seriously tho...ii think there are two kinds of football programs. those who have gotten caught, and those that haven't. let's not kid ourselves-most football players aren't recruited for their book smarts.

The problem isn't that ND isn't holier than thou...The problem is ND, and their fans, consider themselves to be, holier than thou.

Not that I'd ever defend Notre Dame, but at least the "new regime" is currently handling it internally. More than what North Carolina has done. Been waiting for the hammer on that one.

But when it comes to academics and what they expect out if their student athletes they are at the top.
