Default SAT - Saratoga (Travers Day R9-R14)

Saratoga POST SCRATCHES - GOOD / GOOD

R9 - G2 Ballston Spa (Turf 8.5F)

#2 Centre Court (5-1) - Classy mare shows steady works for return. The inside draw is the key to her success. All systems go. 4TH
#7 Filimbi (2-1) - She's on the improve and caught a nice quick pace in most recent as she ran down #5 Dayatthespa.
#4 Strathnaver (GB) 6-1) - Deserves another shot after a less than ideal trip in G1 Diana. 2ND
#3 Abaco (4-1) - Not sure there's enough pace now to uncork a late rally. WON $10.60

R10 - G1 Kings Bishop

#2 Wildcat Red (4-1) - He brings it and 7 panels seem like a perfect fit. Expecting strong performance on the turn back. Probably gets 1st run on the closers.
#8 Coup de Grace (2-1) - Closing sprinter is his game and he'll once again have enough pace for his late run. 3RD
#5 Noble Moon (20-1) - Interesting spot for his comeback and could fire a big one at a juicy price. 4TH
#7 The Big Beast (5-2) - Speedster might forget to slow down late, but will have to contend with #6 Fast Anna early and often.

R11 - G1 Ballerina

#4 My Miss Aurelia (3-1) - Roughed up in return last month and should be much sharper today with a stalking trip. 2ND
#6 La Verdad (7-2) - She only knows one way to go and she's quick enough to clear the field early.
#2 Better Lucky (4-1) - Benefited from speed duel in most recent and will need a similar type setup for her best. 4TH
#8 Hot Stones (6-1) - G3 winner at the distance is a serious contender on the cut back and ideal draw for her pressing style.

R12 - G1 Travers

#6 Tonalist (3-1) - Last was simply a prep and should be fully cranked up his for 2nd G1 this year. The extra distance should help as well. 3RD
#5 Viva Majorca (20-1) - Strong effort in Curlin when routing for the 1st time and could take another step forward with added ground.
#7 Wicked Strong (7-2) - Gutsy win in prep when the blinks were added. Obvious contender right back. 2ND
#2 Bayern (2-1) - He'll definitely be the one to catch, but the 10 furlongs is a legitimate concern.

PK4 - 2 3 4 7 / 2 5 8 / 4 / 2 3 4 5 6 7 10 = $42 for $.50

R13 - Alw 100k N1X (Turf 8.5F)

#4 Fizzy Pink (GB) (5-2) - Better draw makes the difference here.
#5 Sky Painter (3-1) - High % barn with addition of lasix and she showed some talent as a 2 yr old. 2ND
#1 More Than Less (20-1) - Had a troubled trip in last and should be considered underneath at a nice price. 3RD
#3 Invading Humor (4-1) - Has been beating up on state breds and you'll have to take a short price here. Use caution. WON $12.80

R14 - NYB Alw 90k N1X (Turf 8.5F)

#2 Macagone (8-1) - Should be a handful on the front end. 2ND
#5 Morning Calm (3-1) - Best efforts on less than firm and is a contender regardless. WON $8.80
#3 Thurgood (7-2) - Benefits from any kind of pace setup.
#8 Toy Cannon (8-1) - Two decent efforts at the meet and has to be considered for another minor award. 4TH

PK4 - 2 4 6 8 / 2 3 4 5 6 7 10 / 4 / 2 3 5 = $42 for $.50

Good Racing Luck

Gus:

King's Bishop is always a tough race, but also hoping that Wildcat Red will "rock and roll" on the lead....

Go get'em today....

Thanks, Keith - Great race!!! He should like the trip and he's definitely got a pair. That FOY win was pure guts.
