I agree that IEAH is doing this for the publicity, but if that helps raise money for a good cause, it might be a win-win. |

I get very irritated though when guys like IEAH or Jayeff B Stable's Richard Santulli get involved with giving money to things that the government is responsible for. The government is responsible for taking care of a policeman's family. When wealthy guys do things for pr reasons it makes it look like this is not the responsibility of government. I like Richard Santulli. What he did with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes rehab center for soldiers in TX was nice, but these guys do these things for pr reasons and they want to make it like it is not the government's job to take care of injured soldiers. It is nice Santulli got to pat himself on the back for helping raise $40 million for a rehab center, and his buddy Don Imus patted himself on the back every chance he got, but what they actually do by raising this type of money is let the government off the hook. They are well aware of this too. They seem to want to send this message that government money shouldn't be used to build rehab centers. They know what they are doing hurts the troops in the long run and they don't seem to care if that conflicts with the pr they are looking for. |

![]() I don't give two sh1ts if they keep it quiet or not, the money is for a great cause regardless and is awesome in my book no matter what the circumstance. Maybe I'm a little bias seeing as how both of my bro-in-laws are police officers.

All of their brokers were stripped of NASD licensing and the firm was dissolved. http://www.sec.gov/litigation/opinions/34-43523.htm Second, the whole A One Rocket situation left me beyond angry. I don't care to rehash the story again, but here is what happened if you wish to read: http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/sho...1&postcount=12 Third, in their rise to prominence, they have not conducted business in the most honorable manner. The person who recommended and brokered the aquisition of one of their highest profile horses was never compensated properly for the transaction. But the fact is now that they've reached the highest echelons, they are trying very hard to do good things for the game, including building a veterinary hospital next to Belmont Park (to the tune of $19 million). I'm willing to forgive some of the previous misdoings in light of their current attempts to reconcile, which I have no problem with them bringing public given the nature of the case.

![]() You got to be kiddin Me Quiet Chris you really think that someone is going to see that IEAH's guys donated money to the family of a serious injured officer they are going to think the Goverment is not taking care of them. Give me a friggin Break.
Thats what gets my goat with all the negative publicity that this great sport has been recieving (which I have been involved in for 25 years) Someone steps up to the plate and you immedietely determine that this is a PR stunt and they should keep there mouth shut if they went to donate their money. it is a shame this story is not in more papers accross the country. this great sport of ours needs all the positive press we can get. |

And I don't forgive people that make their money in chop shops screwing the average guy usually out of retirement money because they contribute some money to a charity. Bad people give money and make it public because they want people to think they are good. Just ask Michael Milken. Don't like Milken than use the former Curlin owners. IEAH is just doing the same thing. "There are many bizarre aspects of the story behind the three Fen Phen lawyers on criminal trial for alleging bilking their clients out of $65 million of settlement money. The most well-reported oddity is that two of the lawyers used settlement funds to invest in the race horse, Curlin. But how about their decision to donate $20 million of the $200 million settlement to a charitable fund — called the Kentucky Fund For Healthy Living" |

I think people need to watch the movie Boiler Room to find out the kind of "Wall Street" career these scumbags have had. While the idea of a hospital is nice....Iavarone on tv said they are in it to make profits. I figured this dirtbag was in it for the money. That being said the thing with the cop is very cool and I was shocked when I saw that IEAH was behind it. |

The hospital, I'm questionable on how profitable this venture will actually be. Doesn't seem like a huge moneymaker to me, I could be completely wrong- but someone had to put up the startup money and take the risk, if it saves a couple horses that would have otherwise been euthanized my hats off to them.
