I'm speaking of the last 3 weeks, since the all star break. Hes doing his job but our relievers cant get anyone out, so what does it matter?

Manny gets hits when they matter and is money in the postseason, the complete opposite of Gay Rod, but we won 2 World Series with him and hes turning 37 next season. I say we did okay and lets move on!

Getting rid of Ramirez now was a great move by Boston.

I would like to see what idiot resigns him for mega millions next year.

There's always one.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him wearing the NY Pinstrips next year.

Hall of Fame player. Loved his years with the Sox. But his time had come. Sox may miss the playoffs this year. That's OK by me. Long run though I think this is a classic addition by subtraction.

Well typed.

The Yankees were dumb enough to sign BentRod...let's hope they bite on Manny being Worthless as well.

He has had mixed results with the trade deadline deals. It worked in '06, but not '07. As far as the kids go, Broxton and Billingsley are home grown gems. Position players Martin, Kemp , Ethier, and Looney are all good hitters against average to poor pitching(which actually wouldn't be so bad if the veterans were doing their job.) This last part....the veterans....the free agent signings.....This is the reason this G.M. should be gone already. Schmidt(30 mil over the last 2 seasons)= how bad a signing can ya make? Oh,no, he topped that one by paying Andruw 34 million over 2 years, and the ladies getting people their Dodger Dogs are doing more for the organization than Andruw is. Garciaparra is getting paid 10 mil a year for being hurt, and slow. This is the guy that needs to be in there getting hits against tough pitching. Same goes for Kent. He is OMG slow at his position. Every damn time I see him dive for a ball it gets by. This is another individual that needs to hit tough pitching, and he isn't. He (like the kids) can only hit bad pitching. Now , I get angry at the kids for not getting better against good pitching, but the truth is that the people who were signed to get hits against good pitchers(GARCIAPARRA, KENT, PIERRE, Andruw Jones) are where? Huh? WHERE THE F THEY AT? 10+10+10+17= F'N 47 MILLION BUCKS of bad signings. They were supposed to get the runs in these tough pitching games. They aren't, and that's on the guy who signed them. He may not of signed Kent, but he has 4 atrocious signings that should have got his a-s-s parked. Garciaparra getting 20 mil /2 years after being hurt in 2006.- Dumb fkr. Schmidt 15 mil/year for a washed up guy the Giants knew was done.-dumb fkr. Pierre....Don't wanna talk about it. Andruw Jones was the cherry on top. Now, we had to give kids to people to rent people. That's the G.M's fault. If there was any accountability, then his a-s-s wou-be parked.

Jeter has never been a pain in the ass like Manny was being. If they went as far as to trade the best right handed hitter of our time, I have to believe he was pissing off a lot of key people, both players and coaches. Epstein is no fool. No the Yankees will never trade Jeter. He pretty much does the same thing every year...bats around .310 and gets key hit after key hit. Hes a lot better in the field than most give him credit too. Sorry I was harsh on A Rod, I dont dislike the guy at all. Just agreeing with most Yankees fans when I say the guy has been a bust when it really matters.

Angels are great but this isnt the time of the year you want your team to catch fire. Its nice that they blew their division wide open but they'll need to sustain that to make it count. They are one of an elite group of teams in baseball who if they dont win the World Series, their season was a bust.

I'm building a gigantic milkshake and getting ready to watch them play the Yankees.

Not Rollins with his own "minnie manny" imitation but Hanley would be in New York so fast Jeter wouldn't know what hit him....

FKN Lurch been pitching pretty good. Made Kemp look stupid. Good pitchers do that a lot.
