Ahhhh the misuse of statistics to prove or disprove a point. Just like on TV with every sport I have seen, from baseball to horses. Amazing.

Which leads me to my one math joke: A doctor, a lawyer and a statistician go hunting with bows and arrows. They spot a big 8-point buck. The doctor shoots and the arrow goes 30 feet to the right. The lawyer shoots, and the arrow goes 30 feet to the left. The statistician shouts, "We got him!" |

I leave for a weekend and I miss all the good stuff. This is one of the most entertaining threads I have ever read.

The topic is simply that Johnny V went 5 days without a win, something oracle said would never happen. Read the title. --Dunbar

Big day from the Dubai group finally.
Credit to their runners. They hold a tough hand, and all we missed was Dettori jumping off their winners. As for the Sheiks donating a small sum after big wins last year, that $$ hardly resembles the bribe $$ passed on to Al Qaeda and other Muslim extremists bent on destructuction and murder of anyone/anything American. These shieks are as dirty as it gets, and Prince Ahmed Salman was probably the worst. These guys are playing both sides of the fence, and in the horse(or political) biz, there are always plenty of palms out-stretched to grab the $$$ regardless of from whom it comes. Nothing against the horses, but I hope these Arabs get skunked for the rest of the year, especially BC day. As for Johnny V--I don't know him. He surely doesn't appear to be the same smart rider he was two years ago, even while being Pletcher's top call. Maybe the NY vets are watching Mr.T a little closer this year! |

It is hard to become a great fan of some of these horses because of their connections. Mr. T being watched closer? Blasphemy, I say!! |

The most dangerous feat pulled off by the Arab "horsemen" was the large number of terrorists brought into this country on their private planes. They didn't have any scrutiny into what "visitors" came over with them and often failed to go back. These terrorists quietly disappeared across the country to do their dirty work.
After the way the Dubai group screwed the little Bradley bunch out of their purse winnings due to BRASS HAT running 2nd in their towelhead derby, I can't wait to see the "home cooking" that hopefully will take place in Ky. on BC day. The Arabs might as well stay home, because jackofhearts predicts they will have an "ofer" on that glorious day. If they are crazy enough to send their top stock, I can't wait to bet against them! |
