Default TVG Question

I dont have TVG, but its on for an hour a couple times a week from 2-3. I guess i never thought about getting it because i live so close to a couple of tracks. My question is, when you have the actual channel and not the hour promo, do they show all tracks or just certain ones, the other day they were not showing GUL but were showing TAM. If i were paying for the channel i would like to see GUL over Tampa. May be a stupid question but i would like to know
thx

They don't show Gulfstream, HRTV does.

TVG doesn't cover Gulfstream...or Santa Anita's winter meet for that matter.

TVG doesn't show any of the Magna owned tracks and after the conclusion of the Fairgrounds meet will not show and tracks owned by Churchill downs either.

I saw somehwere that for the spring and summer TVG will be showing primarily the NYRA tracks, Keeneland and Monmouth.

Can't wait untill the show those great Garden State bred
races at Monmouth. I hope you can handle half a card of
J-bred garbage at the most overrated track on the east
coast. There is nothing like betting on mcl 10k statebreds

It's possible that they might come to some compromise, but it may look like their track coverage could continue to get smaller.

As long as you get HRTV and TVG, you're all set. After having them both through dish network the past 2 years, I can't imagine living without them.

I have DirecTv and only get TVG.

Has anybody heard if DirecTv is considering adding HRTV or should I consider the switch to Dish? Does Dish offer the Fox Sports Network I'm specifically interest in FSNY for Thoroughbred Action and Inside racing.

Yea, and those $10K NJ Maiden Claimers are probably running for about $35K in pursses, if not more.

It is sad what has happend to Monmouth Park over the last several years. I think it used to be a really good track, now I would rather make the trip to Aqueduct or Belmont. The racing was MUCH better than it is now and I can't stand how the NJSEA runs the place. But being a NJ resident it is all about the almighty $ and how the politicans can benefit themselves at the expense of anyone and everyone.

NJ has by far the best Politicians . . . that money can buy. But I digress.

I can't wait to see what occurs at the Breeder's Cup in the fall at Monmouth. I just hope it doesn't take me three hours to get out of the parking lot like it did at the '03 haskell.

Monmouth might have a major shortage of horses this year.

I use an example of the Meadowlands Harness. Most agree that the Big M harness is by far the best harness racing in N. America, if not the world.
With the advent of a Racino at Yonkers across the river, and with slots now at Pocono Downs and coming The Meadows in Western PA, the Big M is having trouble filling cards. This Friday night they have only carded 9 races and only 76 horses are entered, that is 14 horses less than full fields for a nine race card. Last year, for the same weekend and with no competition from other racino tracks they had 12 races and almost all were full fields.
With Philly Park, Delaware, and eventually NY Racing(will have slots) competing against Monmouth and with purses much better than in the past the same scenario should affect Monmouth. There are now alot more $$ to go around at other nearby venues.

This could be a very quiet summer down at the Jersey shore.

You will probably be a much, much older person by the time you ever see HRTV on Direct TV. You would be much better off switching to Dish. Like the other poster, I have had Dish for over 2 years and can not imagine living with out it. FSNY is on the Dish network.
