Default Tough draw for Adore the Gold

The 9 might be tricky for Edgar, but he'd be the one to overcome. Of course I thought Notional would be history in the Risen from the 12 post.

The outer posts at GP are much more difficult than the outer posts at FG. This will be very tough for both Scat Daddy and Adore the Gold. Not a good draw for these colts.

This is one of those things that really bothers me, but there's no real solution for it. . . I just think the best horses should atleast be given a fair opportunity to win. Now ATG will run a very impressive 3rd so I won't cash on him but his odds will go down in future races. . . Between his draw and Discreet Cat scratching all my racing excitement for the weekend is gone. . .

I really don't know what you mean? Are you saying if they are the M/L favorite let them have the best part of the track and tell everyone else to suck eggs?

I say give the rest of the field a head start and make the favorite earn a win

i am no one, just a guy with a opinion, but i feel adore the gold is another overated horse who is not very good, solid at best in my opinion. beat no one in MAIDEN CLAMING WIN, then beats no one again in the dover, then gets destryoed bye no one in the nasua... so that definitly dosent look good. then he goes on to beat no one again .. then he beats forfathers.. who is a horse that i actually do like, and feel will be better then adore the gold... so in my opinion he has beaten 1 good horse in his career, and will struggle to make the tri in this race.

You may be right, but he's run some big numbers and I think the AQU race is a toss-out. . . We'll see soon I guess

Actually if you read any of the articles out there they took an enormous gamble putting him in the maiden claimer and figured no-one would claim him and they'd bring him up slowly.

i read the article and it did not say exactly what you said... it said he was working slowly so they ran him there... which translates to ........... we did not think he was fast because he was working slowly so we will run him in a maiden claimer.

Cool, I added him to my TVG Fantasy instead of Scat Daddy.

I don't have his pp's but i'm sure that was his first time going two turns and his start was brutal. He easily lost a length at the break. This is Edgar's derby horse.

I doubt there will be a speed horse as good as Stormello in the Florida Derby. After watching the Swale i'm convinced Adore The Gold can go gate to wire.
