But someone did mention the 11 horse in the last leg...too bad he didn't have three of the other four (had the 7 in leg 2)

NOW, this bet has my attention ! Havenot tried it this year as trying to keep track of how 3 different tracks are playing and then putting a ticket together seems mighty tough to me. Made a few bucks today at gulf , so may try it next week when the pot should be huge.

That 6th race at Anita was one of the hardest races I have ever seen.I looked at that race, and decided any money put into that Magna bet was gunna be used for firewood.Same goes for next week.If a race like that comes up again, then know when to say when, and let the rich boys try to buy the thing.

The only solution for restoring sanity to the M5, is to be a little more realistic by the genius' who pick the races. Make it too hard and scare away the fish, make it too easy and scare away the whales. M just wants big payouts for all to ooh at , like the 5F turf sprint in the middle of stakes at Gulf yesterday. The Cali boys started it and are addicted to it. Its a turnoff to me and I don't bet it anymore.

Usually, (now that golden gate is over), it's the 9th at Laurel, along with races 4-5 at Santa Anita and races 9-10 at Gulfstream.
This year has been much, much tougher than last year. Interesting to see how attractive they'll make it to play this weekend, being that the pot will be huge.
I've been playing it on and off for a few years and can't remember it ever carrying over.

They decide which races it is on Wednesday and post it on the website, www.magna5.com. It's a very tough bet to hit, but clearly the reward is worth it.

In year's past, at least in my experience, it was the NoCal race that would throw a wrench into the sequence. With that removed from the equation it varies each week. Obviously the Laurel race on Saturday was tough to figure and then a horse who I thought looked impossible wins at 20-1. You didn't get one favorite come in because Pavarotti and Nobiz went down, which reduced the number of possible winners, then you had that slobberknocker at the tail end at SA. It wouldn't have killed them to move the Frank Kilroe up one and made it the last leg. That would have been better than that mess of a 6th race IMO.

Good luck to whomever plays this week!
