Default First Crop Sleepers

Any thoughts on the biggest sleeper for first crop sires this year???? I think Aldebaren will improve his mares the most..............

The Zavata yearlings looked very nice at last years Keeneland sales. They were going for alot more than his stud fee. I will certainly be watching how they fair on the track.

Not a sleeper but overall the Vindication babies were the most impressive looking of all the first crop sires at last years sale.

I wouldn't be surprised if the following sires' stud fees were raised next year...

Harlan's Holiday, Posse, Lightnin N Thunder, and Hook and Ladder.

The Empire Makers can run, but his stud fee is already really high.

I think that the biggest sleeper will be Harlan's Holiday if you correlate his actual stud fee to how good his two year olds look and to how much they are going for in the sales ring.

Think his babies will do well and story is good to hear. Was a big fan of him in his forays over here as 2 and 3YO and think he could be a sleeper at stud

Do you see him as a sleeper, though? I would think that their expectations for him would be fairly high considering he's a half to Editor's Note.

One that I see as a sleeper is Read the Footnotes.

Not a real sleeper but I have about a 1/2 dozen Mineshafts. The ones I have just exude Pure Class. Beautiful movers on the track and as easy as can be to work around.

I think the Harlans Holidays will really make an impact. There has been nothing but great comments on his babies and his stud fee is very reasonable.

I friend of mine rides a Mineshaft filly who she describes as "evil to the core." Of course, if he's the hottest stallion this season I wont be shocked, but he's hardly a "sleeper" when he was the priciest stallion to enter stud his year.

I still think he is a sleeper. Cant remember but didnt Editors Note get better as distances stretched out? So I am going on assumption HTT will be a sleeper sire of 2yos. If that makes any sense

Is that the 'noted sire' Editors Note?

Horses that stand for $50000 are usually not considered sleepers.

I think that for his $4,000 (?) stud fee, Freefourinternet might be a halfway decent sire.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of them race.
