Default 3/24: Magna 5; TP; etc..

Having caught the Magna 5 for the first time last week on what turned out to be a $48 ticket after scratches, I should probably walk away.. BUT NO! Let's give it a whirl as it seems approachable. On the 3yo front, Turfway is the focus today as the $500,000 Lane's End highlights the stakes action for Derby-intended runners.

A misstep with the single of We Love Our Kids yesterday in the 3rd leg of the AQU P6 cost the $7,000 prize. Uggh.. Otherwise an excellent Friday... Hope you did well.

Good luck Gus!!

People should try to use the #2 in the 10th for their P4's.. Got a push on him from the barn and some others liked him as well...

Dead solid perfect! Dominican looked cut above that entire field. His trainer, Darrin Miller, commented afterwards on ESPN that this horse was training well. He had Sedgefield in Lane's End Stakes; finished game second to Hard Spun. Jeannine Edwards asked very good question about where Dominican was in his training versus Sedgefield. Miller was cautious coming off nice victory. He stated that Dominican was three races behind Sedgefield starting today. It appears that Dominican may have jumped two races in one performance. It sounds as though his connections may point toward Coolmore Lexington as Toyota Blue Grass looks like race of the year in April.

Again, great selection. I had PPs for Lane's End and was very high on Sedgefield.

Well. . . It feels good to be right about Dominican, but I got selfish and didn't bet him to win or even bet him keyed in that nice big tri or super. . . I played some multi-race bets and tossed out Hard Spun because I thought his chances to win would be much lower than his odds. . . Was wrong there. . . I had a big Dominican/Sedgefield double that would've been nice. . .

Thx PP.. Hope some had it..

That's the funny thing about Turfway.. It only takes one juicy score to make up for the other wacky results...
