For Premium Tap to hold off Invasor for the first half of the stretch battle made my neckhairs stand straight up... He was ever so game, setting that pace and he made Invasor earn every penny of it..Props go to Premium Tap

Invasor and Premium Tap did what was largely expected from them.. Not to say they weren't 'impressive'.

But who was MOST impressive?

JACK JUNIOR

A maiden.. Two 7f turf starts in September of last year.. A game if distant 2nd behind Asiatic Boy for the amazing Brian Meehan in the UAE Derby.

Then Kelly's Landing.

Yes I own Discreet Cat. Right to the shed he goes. Last I looked he was the last horse to beat Invasor and he did so by a lot also. Now they are even. I hope he gets another shot at him...I doubt it.

All the winners were impressive from Spring at Last rekicking to Invasor putting away a stubborn Premium Tap. The most impressive non-winners were Premium Tap and Linngari.

On the whole, nobody matched the performance of the Absolute Beast...Asiatic Boy. I can't wait to see what he goes on to do.

Wasn't Master David also trained by Brian Meehan? Could end up in the Frankel barn soon??

Definitely Admire Moon. That was the best field of the day. With Discreet Cat a total no-show, the World Cup was basically a match race. The rest of the world lags behind us in dirt racing the way we lag behind them in grass racing. And before somebody mentions Asiatic Boy, who was impressive, it should be pointed out he beat a miserable field which saw an 0 for 2 maiden making his dirt debut run second.

Chelokee ? teasing. i had him in the trifecta and still wonder how gooda trip he got. or was it bad

You know Premium Tap was acting up so much before the race that I almost cancelled my bets. I was so relieved when I saw him come out running and DC proved to be nothing but hype.

Invasor was going to win that race no matter what. He did everything so easily. Clearly just waiting for the wire. Jara was looking around for someone to come running because he knew he had PT.
