it's a long shot but magna (parent of magna entertainment group) is one of 3 firms looking to take daimer's $36 billion white elephant off their hands for a lot less than that now obviously poor investment from a few years back.

most likely one of the 2 private equity firms competing winds up with chrysler and breaks it into pieces.

but frank's in there fighting the good fight. i've always thought he was okay for a billionaire. turned santa anita into a palace while churchill wouldn't put a single coat of new paint on hollywood park.
