What's Up Doc?
I listened to JJ quiz Doc Allday on the use of drugs in Dubai. What struck me as odd was JJ constantly debating the fact that the horses there were ONLY raceing on hay, oats and water. The feeling I got was that JJ felt that there were some improprieties occuring in Dubai with regards to the Arab horses that were racing. JJ repeatedly stated that "I don't believe that the horses were racing clean". Are these feelings synonymous amongst the international contingent racing there that and that there are two sets of rules? When I pondered the questiion to myself I agreed with the Doc that WE (North Americans) are shooting ourselves in the foot by masking the physical ailments that can be carried forward into there respective offspring! As a former breeder who is to know unless you are on the inside as to what defects the prospective stallions and mares are carrying. I respected Doc Allday before but I have a new found appreciation for a man who makes a living poking animals with needles but is not affraid to say "enough is enough"!!
