Anybody know if Curlin works in front wraps?
Don't know if the pic is from the actual work -- shows Curlin now in wraps. He doesn't race in wraps.
If anyone has scoop on this it might be interesting. Here's the pic showing him in front wraps: http://tcm.bloodhorse.com/viewstory.asp?id=38597 |

What do front wraps do? Why are they a bad sign if a horse has them? I know they are a bad sign, but I never bothered to find out why.

Sometimes it means that a horse is sore or unsound. ..

Hard Spun worked sans front wraps of any kind the other day.

In the hunter world (very different I know), you wrap legs all the time. Nothing to do with soundness (or lack thereof). It's just protection to hopefully keep them that way.

Was it complete rumor that Tiz Wonderful had bandage bowed? Not saying I have any way to back it up, I just heard it on another forum. You hear lots of things that are total BS.

I like Curlin but something tells me that he might be a little light in the frame. There is a reason why he didnt start at age 2. The Derby is grueling and I am not sure Curlin has the muscle and bone mass to handle such a race.
