Default Calder

$1 play - 8,5,4 w/ 5,1 w/ 3,8,2 = $18

A couple of decent turf races sandwich a 2yo sprint featuring a field of 11 debut runners.

Race 2: $25K Clm 1 1/16 turf
1. #8 QUARTO AMIGO (12-1) makes 1st start for Milt Wolfson off mdn score over GP dirt; MW is 2-6 off claim ($4.20 ROI), 4-11 dirt-to-turf angle ($7.35 ROI); upsetter.
2. #5 SAVIANO (3-1) drops into claimer 1st time for uber-juicer Kirk Ziadie (23-81 in '07); 2d start of '07, exiting good 3d place 5f turf fitter on 3/15 at TPA; Elvis Trujillo (10-21 for Ziadie) rides.
3. #4 TOM'S MULLIGAN (4-1) is hard luck one who moves back into Steve Standridge barn; Standridge barn usually fares extremely well at Calder.

Race 3: MSW 2yo colts 4 1/2 f
1. #5 LORD TIK TIK (5-2) debuts for Team Pletcher, 19% winner with firsters; typical solid a.m. work tab; have to use.
2. #1 CASINO GAMBLER (3-1) Stan Gold is 19% winner with firsters; this one is out of dam who has thrown 8 winners from 8 starters, including 3 SWs; fired 4f bullet on 4/18.

Race 4: OptClm $25K/N2X 1 1/8 turf
1. #3 ONE OF THE BEST (8-1) has been chasing likes of Nobiz Like Shobiz, Twilight Meteor, repeater Duveen; big class relief here; 2-3 over Calder sod; underrated Roimes Chironos takes call to ride.
2. #8 NOMBRE de RIOS (3-1) is likely fave off 7-week freshening for Mark Hennig; key is addition of Javier Castellano in the saddle today; big stretch threat.
3. #2 SPIKEAVELLIAN (10-1) enters off sharp mile dirt score vs lesser at GP on 3/23; should control pace from hedge and may prove tough to reel in if able to steal away under Elvis.

Good luck.

Gotta like Barry Rose..Absolutely love the fact they cut back in distance..Had 10 acrossed the board last out when he was 12-1 and wired that field if I can remember correctly.. Come on Sanchez..
