Default Inside bias right now

clearly advantage to horses inside right now at CD, long time till Derby and track may change a lot but something to keep an eye on, this last race, Pino's horse was doing nothing then came up the rail for second...he appeared uncomfortable on the backstretch and even at top of stretch...if Street Sense gets to the rail...look out!

Equibase results have Leparoux up on Ah Day...is this a mistake? It was not listed in the jockey changes...

Another race, another fast finish on the rail...Calvin knows how to get there, horse is a closer so hard to say but rail still looks damn good!

people have been criticizing hard spuns trail--that he avoided the top comp, same could be said for curlin--and three lifetime starts? then there's the trainer. i'll never pull for an asmussen horse--i think it stinks they took him off helen pitts, and i very much enjoyed her win with silverinyourpocket!

and yet another derby angle--no trainer since '52 has won the oaks/derby double. poor todd.

You must have missed the 11 Suaveness in the last race. Rallied wide and closed stride for stride with the rail horse, and may have actually closed a little faster. He started from further back and was wide so he couldn't catch the 3.

With the sun out and the continuing work they are doing on the track it will probably end up fairly even by derby time.

I was thinking the same thing. Longer distance races and the closers will be fine. (I hope)!
