Amadeus Wolf for me, he had a tough season last year, it is always hard for three year old sprinters, so it doesn't really bother me he failed to win last year, he ran some really good races in defeat.
His trainer recently did an interview/stable tour in the Racing Post and he sounded really bullish about this horse having a terrific season this year and this race looks the perfect start off point. I'd expect him to be in the frame, with conditions to suit. Red Clubs should run his race, he likes york and Al Qasi is expected to show plenty this year, he looked like a horse going places last season, not sure if he will classy enough to cope with a few group one sprinters in this field though. My prediction: 1st - Amadeus Wolf 2nd - Soldier Of Fortune 3rd - Red Clubs/Al Qasi Also it is the fillies oaks trial today where Oaks favourite Passage Of Time bids to show the world why she is Oaks Favourite. I don't really fancy her today, there are too many reasons why. I wouldn't be surprised to see her win (she is odds on) but i think Shorthand could take the honours today being a full sister to Alexandrova. |

done a lucky 15 today with Amadeus Wolf (like him alot today), Shorthand (negative reports about Cecil's), Blue Spinnaker and Im bowing to the hype with putting Greek Well into it..

I have backed ALL of those. I just hope for both of us that i'm in the same sort of form i was in on Saturday! Also, i wouldn't rule out a big run from Assertive today at a nice price. It usually pays to follow stats in these group race sprints and he is the only one that matches all of the important race stats. |

well they're all supported this morning which I see as a bad sign..
the Sprint looks a very difficult race as usual so I might need to spread my net further than just Wolf.. Ill keep my eye on Assertive..

Amadeus finally gets a win he deserves so much. great run.. Passage of Time was rather work(wo)man like when winning the musidora.. dont quite know what to make of it, because i havent seen much of the fillies run so dont quite have a grasp of the oaks picture..disappointed i put Greek Well in my lucky 15 now, was either him or Dont Dili Dali this evening in Naas and went for the former Derby fancy..

Yeah, i'm really glad he won. 3yo sprinters always have a tough time of things when campaigned like he was, but he looks like he will be a sprinter to follow this year and might be the best we have had for a while.
Will really quick ground suit him though? I nearly got the tricast, but not quite. What happened to Greek Well, i didn't see that race |
