Media circus....the poor correctional officers and staff must be hating life about now! Paris won't be a problem but having a mike stuck in your face everyday and knowing if you're even overheard making a comment about her it will appear on Entertainment Tonight...I'd be in a less than cordial mood!

Poor poor little rich girl.

I agree with you about the correctional officers, but at least her cellmate will get a book deal.

It appears Paris was in the audience...now I understand that with fame comes some of this stuff but surely this woman could have been a bit more creative with her jokes. Does Paris deserve to be held accountable for her behavior? Sure! But does she deserve that?

I mean the script practically writes itself!
Perhaps:

"Doing Hard time with Paris"

or

"Paris learns the Penal system"

Redd Foxx?

I saw him live a couple times and he is no doubt the "dirtiest" act I ever saw. Rudy Ray Moore was a close second.

He was all that...but he was also hilarious!

You're missing the point...whether Paris can laugh at herself or not is hardly justification for using someone's misfortune/sadness/pain (whether you think deserved or not) to mock them! Paris is responsible for her behavior, we each are responsible for ours...good natured kidding is one thing, those remarks were vicious and in a public forum with her there to endure same were/are grotesque!

I suggest turning it off it it's grotesque to you...it's Sarah Silverman and most people are familiar with her style...Paris invited it by being there and making a big deal out of going to jail to begin with.

I agree with you. Humour is fine but it appeared inappropriate to me, the wrong setting with her sitting right there.

One guy tells me to turn it off and the next says I get old...well, news flash!! This is me, this is how I think! I've posted here and at ESPN for over 10 years so everybody knows how I think...if I get old, skip my posts! You get tired of reading things you don't like...don't read what I write! Freedom of speech works both ways and frankly..I don't give a damn if I annoy you! Making fun of people when they are vunerable is disgusting...you enjoy it, well...I've made it clear what I think about that! Apparently I'm not the only one who found it somewhat inappropriate!

That jail will tighten her up a little. Jail is a great experience for anybody with the attitude that Paris has

Bijou said that Paris has her own sort of language that she uses with her friends and basically rips people apart in front of their face to her friends and the person that is getting torn up has no clue because it's in Paris' secret language.

Now this is a friend of hers saying this. So I ask you, is this disgusting also? This is why I said Paris can't laugh at herself like she does others. The jokes about Paris were funny. Chill out a little and you might enjoy things a bit more. Not everything is a cause that you need to get behind.

I guess you are simply unwilling or unable to grasp the simple point I make...IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT PARIS DOES or what kind of a person she may or may not be...she will answer for her actions, she alone is responsible for them. What matters, and it's the only thing that really matters in this world, is what each of us does! We are each responsible only for what we do...so when YOU make fun of someone's misfortune, all the smoke screen about who or what they may be is meaningless...I believe in the Threefold Law, others have different beliefs but most believe in the end, we reap what we sow.

Somer, I understand what you are saying. But everyone in Hollywood is fair game at those award shows. They pick on everyone. Maybe Silverman did go over the line, but I think it just seemed worse because Paris was there. Personally maybe the jail time will smarten her up a bit. I am sick and tired of seeing these rich kids think that they can get away with things that me and you would be doing alot of time for.

she is reaping what she sowed.

she is well known for grainy porn's, being kinda dumb and very shallow. that wasn't mother theresa being mocked.

i think the cheering when it is mentioned she's going to jail is a clue how quickly her act has gotten old.

the best part was nothing sarah silverman said but just the befuddled look on paris hilton's face. you'd almost think it's starting to dawn on her how hated she's made herself.

i think your 3 fold law is unfolding right before us.

I just think that vison of Paris sitting there motionless and expressionless magnified the whole situation. It wasn't like she was being called a liar or a terrible actress. The woman said that they were going to paint the bars on her cell to look like penises, and that she hoped Paris wouldn't chip her teeth. Ouch! That is fifteen yards and an automatic first down.
