There is a first-timer in here that can really run. Her name is Game Face. She has a ton of speed. I saw her work at the Ocala March Sale. I wish this was one of those races where there was no other speed, but unfortunately there is a horse in here that has already run and she went :44 flat last time. I'm still going to bet on Game Face, but I would be more confident if that other speed horse wasn't in here.

Thanks for heads up. Your record with 2YO's has been pretty awesome thus far...

That wasn't bad. She paid $5.60 to place. I always bet equal amounts to win and place unless my horse is low odds. I had the exacta too.

She ran good. She broke a little slow. She only lost by a length.

Who did you think was the single overall most impressive horse you saw preview at a 2yo in training sale?

Did you attend or watch video of some of the more obscure ones.....like in Texas, or at EVD?

I couldn't tell you who was the best one off the top of my head. I went to a lot of sales and looked at a lot of horses this year. I could tell you who I thought the best ones were at a few of the individual sales. I thought the best one at the Barrett's May Sale was Hip #192. That was a Carson City colt. My trainer didn't like him that much because he said he was a little offset at the knee. My favorite at the Barrett's March Sale was the same horse that everyone else liked. It was that Officer colt(Hip #147) that Darley bought for $1.4 million. At the Keeneland April sale, my favorite horse was the same as everyone else. It was the Mineshaft filly that B Wayne Hughes bought for around $1.8 million.

I did not go to, nor do I have the videos for Texas or EVD.

I would rate the Officer colt #1 of all I've seen tape of.

At which sale? If you're talking about the one from the Ocala March Sale, that horse has already run twice. He ran 3rd in his debut. I can't remeber what he did in his 2nd start. I think he ran either 2nd or 3rd. He's nothing special. He's not worth $190k.

He ran 3rd, and 2nd in his next start. 72 and 80 beyers, and single digit rags. For a 2 year old I would have to disagree with what you think hes worth.

Yes, thats the one Im speaking of

I think he's alright. He made my list at that sale. I just wouldn't buy him for $190k.

I just sent you a message back. As I said in the private message, he was the type of horse that I would have expected to win early. I have lost some confidence in him since he is 0 for 2. But I guess he did run into a couple of tough horses. He may be worth the money. I'd have to watch the replays of those races again.
