Nike turns down Humane Society request

The President of the HS sent a letter to Nike asking them to cut ties (read: large contract) with Mike Vick over dog fighting situation, they refused. I agree with Nike, they stated that it isn't right to determine a person's guilt or innocence in the "court of public opinion". While I support a lifetime NFL ban for him if convicted...he hasn't even been charged. There are a lot of things about Nike that trouble me...this isn't one. Vick, like every one of us, is entitled to his day in court if needed...as a PETA member, my stand on animal abuse is obvious, but not any stronger than my support for our Constitution...good decision, Nike!
