Chris Block / amazing stat
OK I'll admit it, I was always a huge fan of his. Going over Arlington's 2nd half of the card today and I come across a 1rster trained by Block and owned by Mr. D, Arlington's owner. I look down and find Block is winning at a 43% rate first time out and it's a sample of 28. 12 1rsters winning out of 28 is unbelievable.

Quick story
About 4 weeks ago I was in Mr. D's with my dad. My dad had just left and i was there betting the late DD at Arlington and Hollywood. After one Arlington race, one of the most prominent 'investors' on the grounds throws a fit calling out Block and being a cheater and how Illinois needs drug testing.
Now, I am not saying either way, and his first out number is hard to argue with as far as 'cheating' (I think alot of that has to do with the family structure and the old man breaking all his horses) but something to think about it. Still think he is a douche bag for running "his best horse ever and part of my family" for a 25k tag |

Chris Block is killer on the turf.
I usually know when he has a runner in when the family shows up to invest

Hell, I have made a ton of money on him so I don't care either way, but some of his numbers are off the wall scary. |

Anyone that tosses a Block, Mr. D horse at Arlington is playing with fire... unless they're running against a Catalano/Calabrese/Douglas horse.
Block's better either on turf or with firsters. Don't like him as much for dirt/polytrack routes, but always is viable on turf. |

I'm not sure where Mystery Giver is. If I see him I'll ask. I think he is in for a very good day today. The heat is gonna be brutal though. I'll be out there by the first.

Oh Mystery Giver, I LOVE him. MG ran several races at Fairgrounds this year. He was beaten the last day by Candid Glen, older by a year I think, and CGlen was just retired. Is Mystery Giver retired, updates please. I was glad to see Fort Prado hold on by a whisker this weekend, I like him too. |
